Ian Jones is a legendary steel pan player and composer. Mr. Jones uses his
musical art to give marginalized youth discipline and hope for the future by
teaching the steel pan instrument. Mr. Jones has dedicated over 30 years of his
life working for positive change in the notorious Malvern community as well as
the Covenant House. Mr. Jones continues to serve both as an innovative musician
and social activist for the betterment of our young people today.

ARTIST PROFILE
A native Trinidadian, Ian immigrated to Canada in the 1960’s. Renowned
as an avid pan player, arranger, composer, producer, musical director
and educator. A cultural leader in the steelpan and calypso art forms.
